Hello and welcome to my blog.
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to have a browse.
As a 4th Generation Australian and Territory born, I can proudly say that I am a true blue Aussie and Territorian.
With my dad being the eldest of 7 siblings, I grew up in Darwin surrounded by family and lots of them! My cousins and I loved growing up together and our funniest and cherished memories were created here.
I often get asked how I became a photographer or how long I have been doing photography. I remember the day so clearly while on a family holiday in Singapore when I was only 10. We were at a little market and amongst all the chaos and excitement, something caught my eye – A camera…. Not just any camera, one that was shaped as a coca cola can! I begged my dad to buy it for me and little did he know this was the start to my beautiful photography journey. That little camera was eventually upgraded to a film SLR, where I learned about and appreciated the fundamentals of light and immersed myself in the darkroom, until moving with the times and changing to a DSLR. With a camera that accompanied me wherever I ventured, I snapped every fun and eventful moment that life threw at me, memories I wanted to cherish for years to come.
When my son (who was called a little cherub) was born and my life changing journey to motherhood was fulfilled, my love for both family and capturing such precious times through photography naturally came together to create one big dream come true – Little Cherub Photography.
Being one of Darwin’s longest and most experienced professional photographers specializing in maternity and newborn portraiture photography, I have had the honor of cuddling and photographing hundreds of newborns over the years. I find myself predicting their every move and always ensure they are safe and sound. I treat each newborn with as much care and love as I would my own and can settle them with ease.
Now, as a mother of three, (my youngest only 6 months old) I know all too well the feeling of how you can suddenly find yourself admiring your little cherub and realizing how much they have grown and changed so quickly, that it seemed like it was only yesterday that you held them in your arms for the very first time.
My elegant, natural yet artistic style of portraiture maternity and newborn photography will capture the pure innocence and every fine detail of your newborn. Photographs you can look back on and reconnect with those emotions you did on that wonderful day.
If you would like me to join your beautiful journey to parenthood, please contact me. It will be my privilege.
With smiles and happiness,
Susan Fong
