Susan’s custom designed natural light studio is professionally equipped, has all the comforts of home and is where the essence of your newborn is captured. It is located in the Northern Suburbs of Darwin, Northern Territory.

Susan works at the pace of your little cherub, while paying attention to the smallest of details to capture the best images possible. Her natural, artistic, organic and simplistic style of newborn photography will make your heart melt.

This studio session ranges from 1–2 hours allowing plenty of time to give your little cherub a cuddle when they want their mummy or daddy or to comfort them back to sleep.

Mum, dad and siblings are most welcome to join the newborn session.

Susan has a beautiful range of the finest props, throws, custom made backdrops, bonnets, and wraps. Being an artist she can create amazing sets for your little cherub.

Newborns can be photographed up to 6 weeks old, however they are best photographed at 3-14 days old. At this very precious stage of development they are very sleepy and can “curl” easily allowing them to be artistically, peacefully and naturally positioned.

It is highly recommended that you make an advance (8 weeks) booking while you are still pregnant to ensure you don’t miss out on capturing this precious young age.

Susan is so good at what she does.The shoot itself was so nice and relaxed. I sat on the couch and watched as she worked her magic with my newborn. Susan was so gentle and patient, and allowed time for breastfeeding when needed. She was also fantastic with my toddler who joined us at the end.She was very flexible and understanding when I had to reschedule the shoot due to an early arrival. And was so patient with me while I chose the photos, which was very difficult since they were all amazing!I am so happy with the photos we received. I highly recommend Little Cherub Photography

We had a photo shoot for my 6 month old baby recently with Susan. She was lovely and friendly person that made us feel comfortable. She took her time to take the right photos and put me totally at ease when baby was fussy. She provided the photos quickly, and helped us select the best of them. Susan captured my now 2 year old as a newborn so perfectly, so I couldn’t wait to see her again for baby number 2. Once again, the baby whisperer worked her magic on my baby, who was not making it easy on her. Little Cherub Photography is FANTASTIC! Susan was so great. When my family and I arrived with my little one, she was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately my baby was being very fussy that day but her ability to settle her and still capture incredible photos was such a display of her professionalism and how experienced she was with babies and her craft. I cannot speak highly enough of Susan at Little Cherub Photography!Throughout the whole process she was incredibly accomodating of our needs including changing dates & the nature of the shoot.The day was fantastic… even with a determined little human who wanted to be in charge Susan took it all in her stride. She was so lovely in encouraging me to take photos with my daughter (something I hadn’t planned on doing) I’m so glad I did! Susan has captured both of our sons, and us a family a number of times over the past 4 years. Susan has meticulous attention to detail, and is a newborn whisperer so you’re guaranteed to get those sleepy newborn shots! She has taken photos of our oldest son as a newborn, at 3, 6, 9 & 12 months old and now again as a 4 year old and has been able to engage with him and capture him so naturally every time.
