I had the pleasure of photographing so many amazing newborns in 2013. I would like to take the opportunity to reflect back on the year that was…

Some babies like water, others do not. They call the ones that do, water babies, of which Phoebe Moana Te Wake is one.

“She likes swimming, likes the pool,” mum Melanie said.

She said she was enjoying being a mum. ” It’s easier than I thought, in some ways anyway. I guess being a bit older, it all seems to be more common sense.”

Phoebe is Melanie and Hubby Douglass first child together , and a little sister to Callum, 12.

Melanie said Douglas would make sure Phoebe is an All Blacks supporter.

She was born back on August 8 at 8.38 am.

She weighed in at 2.89kg and measured 48cm.

Susan is so good at what she does.The shoot itself was so nice and relaxed. I sat on the couch and watched as she worked her magic with my newborn. Susan was so gentle and patient, and allowed time for breastfeeding when needed. She was also fantastic with my toddler who joined us at the end.She was very flexible and understanding when I had to reschedule the shoot due to an early arrival. And was so patient with me while I chose the photos, which was very difficult since they were all amazing!I am so happy with the photos we received. I highly recommend Little Cherub Photography

We had a photo shoot for my 6 month old baby recently with Susan. She was lovely and friendly person that made us feel comfortable. She took her time to take the right photos and put me totally at ease when baby was fussy. She provided the photos quickly, and helped us select the best of them. They are amazing photos that we will treasure for a lifetime. I highly recommend her.

We had newborn photos taken with Susan, she was fantastic to work with, babies are unpredictable but she worked her magic settling our little one and working patiently to get some great shots. Susan captured both my maternity and new born photoshoots.I was so nervous going into my maternity photo session however Susan made me feel so comfortable and guided me through many different poses. We thoroughly enjoyed having Susan capture us during our maternity and newborn shoot. She had a huge range of maternity gowns and newborn props to choose from. Susan captured my now 2 year old as a newborn so perfectly, so I couldn’t wait to see her again for baby number 2. Once again, the baby whisperer worked her magic on my baby, who was not making it easy on her. I sat there in awe and with perfect trust in her as she shhh’d, rocked and wrapped up my baby in beautiful colours and poses. The photos couldn’t be any more perfect! She even captured the bond I share with my daughter, which is a memory I will cherish forever. Thank you Susan for going above and beyond to capture our love ❤️. Little Cherub Photography is FANTASTIC! Susan was so great. When my family and I arrived with my little one, she was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately my baby was being very fussy that day but her ability to settle her and still capture incredible photos was such a display of her professionalism and how experienced she was with babies and her craft. I received my photos 2 weeks later and I am beyond words with how incredible they are. No one in my family are models but she took charge of us and we got absolutely beautiful photos that we will cherish forever! Thank you Susan!

I cannot speak highly enough of Susan at Little Cherub Photography!Throughout the whole process she was incredibly accomodating of our needs including changing dates & the nature of the shoot.The day was fantastic… even with a determined little human who wanted to be in charge Susan took it all in her stride. She was so lovely in encouraging me to take photos with my daughter (something I hadn’t planned on doing) I’m so glad I did! I knew we’d have some lovely photos but they have far exceeded my expectations.So grateful to have a beautiful collection of memories of my sweet girl to share & look back on for years to come.

Susan has captured both of our sons, and us a family a number of times over the past 4 years. Susan has meticulous attention to detail, and is a newborn whisperer so you’re guaranteed to get those sleepy newborn shots! She has taken photos of our oldest son as a newborn, at 3, 6, 9 & 12 months old and now again as a 4 year old and has been able to engage with him and capture him so naturally every time. Highly recommend Susan for studio newborn/baby/family photos!!
