Introducing Ruby

“Ruby Annabel Toner was born on Wednesday 5 February 2020, weighing 3.06kg, measuring 45cm long and a head circumference of 35cm.

Ruby is my little donor baby. Coming from a close family I always wanted a family of my own.

About 18 months ago I started looking into the options available and, utilising the help of Repromed Darwin and the American Cryobank, Ruby is the first result of embryos created with an anonymous American donor. I am forever grateful to her donor and the services available for assisting me to welcome this beautiful little baby.

Given that all experiences in the first week of a newborn baby (and first time mum) can be daunting, Susan provided a very welcoming environment that was comfortable for both Ruby and I. Susan was very attentive to Ruby and it was lovely to see her passion for babies and how she translates this into her photography.

I felt the studio was very earthy and calm, it was a beautiful space which was clearly well thought out with natural light, natural wood pieces and beautiful colours. In consideration of other photography spaces I thought Susan’s studio was a little oasis, which made for a more natural experience.

Susan is both professional and personable and shows great care and consideration to all clients of the studio (newborns, parents, family members). I felt very welcomed throughout the experience, and loved the way Susan savours the newborn phase as much as the mother/family members. Every mother loves when people delight in their newborn baby”.

Welcomed Earth-side on January 16th, 2020. She weighed 3.3kg and measured 50cm in length.

Pure perfection.

She slept like sleeping beauty and gave some petite little grins along the way.

“We chose Susan from Little Cherub Photography as our newborn photographer because we loved her unique, natural and simplistic style.

We could not fault Susan at our newborn shoot, she was incredibly professional, gentle and patient even when our little one made a mess on her floor and all over Susan once the nappy came off.

We were nervous before the session because our little one had started cluster feeding during the day, and we were nervous she wouldn’t settle. In less than a minute Susan had our little girl fast asleep and kept her peacefully sleeping throughout the entire session. It was incredible to watch her several settling techniques.

Susan is a natural at what she does and has a talent that cannot be taught.

The little cherub studio is incredibly beautiful, sterile and perfectly set up with easy access to a changing station and a comfortable couch for relaxing and feeding.

Introducing Marlee Rose Lewis.

My first Newborn to be photographed in my beautiful natural light studio in Darwin. She was pure perfection! What a wonderful start to 2020.

Shanee had a rough and sick pregnancy. When she could eat, she craved peanut butter toast! She couldn’t get enough of it.

She welcomed her daughter, Marlee Rose at 36 weeks via cesarean on December 20th 2019 who weighed a mere 2630g and was 49cm in length.

“The studio was amazing!

Such a calm space with the most natural set up and props.

My experience with Little Cherub Photography has been pure bliss so far!

Susan also allowed me to include my eldest son Mason in the shoot. He is absolutely obsessed with Marlee ! Any chance he gets, he will kiss and cuddle her. He tells everyone all about his little sister.

Susan was so welcoming and is extremely talented. I am so excited to see the rest of the gallery!

I was browsing in one of my favourite places in Darwin when I was assisted by a lovely and very helpful woman.

As I left my contact details, she noted my Little Cherub Photography email and asked if I was a newborn photographer.

We got chatting and she proudly told me that she was expecting their first grandchild and wanted to surprise her daughter with a gift voucher for a photo shoot.

Sometimes you get that feeling of chance meetings and it was indeed meant to be!

The photo shoot was just so wonderful. A family affair with proud Aunty and Grand dad coming along too. At one point as I was concentrating on capturing little Bowie, I got goose bumps. I looked up and there was not one dry eye in the studio.

The love that surrounds this darling little cherub is truly beautiful.
