Little Cherub Photography was born in 2008 to bring my two loves together: babies and photography.
Since then, I have photographed around 150 babies per year. That’s 1800 babies and counting…not including the twins and triplets that have come into my studio!
‘Little Cherub’ means ‘sweet, innocent angel’
and that’s exactly how I want your babies to look in my photos.
Whether you want them posed with props or just as they are, I want the pure joy and innocence of their young lives to come through in my images.

We create a nurturing, relaxed environment because, like us, we know that’s when you are at your best too.
Growing up in a big Territory family, I was surrounded by babies and children all my life.
There was rarely a time when you wouldn’t find me playing mini-Mum with my cousins and extended family.
As a little girl, I spotted a camera; a manually wound, film camera that was shaped like a Coca Cola can! I asked my Dad to buy it for me and when he did, it started a beautiful photography journey.
That little camera upgraded to a film SLR, where I learned about and appreciated the fundamentals of light and immersed myself in the darkroom, until moving with the times and changing to a DSLR.
With a camera that accompanied me wherever I ventured, I snapped every fun and eventful moment that life threw at me, memories I wanted to cherish for years to come.
I'm now a doting mother of three little cherubs. It was when my first son was born and my life-changing journey to motherhood was fulfilled, my love for both family and capturing such precious times through photography naturally came together to create one big dream come true.
Since then it has been my absolute joy and privilege to photograph thousands of little Territorians and their families.

The studio is clean, quiet and has all the comforts of home. Custom-designed to be welcoming, ultra modern and filled with beautiful rays of soft natural light.
It is professionally equipped, has all the comforts of home, pet and smoke-free, and is where the essence of your newborn is captured.

Susan is so good at what she does.The shoot itself was so nice and relaxed. I sat on the couch and watched as she worked her magic with my newborn. Susan was so gentle and patient, and allowed time for breastfeeding when needed. She was also fantastic with my toddler who joined us at the end.She was very flexible and understanding when I had to reschedule the shoot due to an early arrival. And was so patient with me while I chose the photos, which was very difficult since they were all amazing!I am so happy with the photos we received. I highly recommend Little Cherub Photography

We had a photo shoot for my 6 month old baby recently with Susan. She was lovely and friendly person that made us feel comfortable. She took her time to take the right photos and put me totally at ease when baby was fussy. She provided the photos quickly, and helped us select the best of them. We thoroughly enjoyed having Susan capture us during our maternity and newborn shoot. She had a huge range of maternity gowns and newborn props to choose from. Susan captured my now 2 year old as a newborn so perfectly, so I couldn’t wait to see her again for baby number 2. Once again, the baby whisperer worked her magic on my baby, who was not making it easy on her. I sat there in awe and with perfect trust in her as she shhh’d, rocked and wrapped up my baby in beautiful colours and poses. The photos couldn’t be any more perfect! Little Cherub Photography is FANTASTIC! Susan was so great. When my family and I arrived with my little one, she was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately my baby was being very fussy that day but her ability to settle her and still capture incredible photos was such a display of her professionalism and how experienced she was with babies and her craft. I received my photos 2 weeks later and I am beyond words with how incredible they are. Susan has captured both of our sons, and us a family a number of times over the past 4 years. Susan has meticulous attention to detail, and is a newborn whisperer so you’re guaranteed to get those sleepy newborn shots!
