Introducing Amy, Anthony and their Little Cherub, Azaria

I was more than delighted when I received a phone call from fellow Darwin Photographer, Amy Page. She had just announced she was expecting a little cherub to their loved ones and invited me to capture her maternity and newborn journey.

Amy was amazing to photograph during her maternity session! Beaming with radiance the natural light in my studio wrapped around her bronzed skin. I just loved capturing her beautiful and bubbly personality.

On February 9 at 7.23am, Amy and Anthony were blessed to welcome their newborn, Azaria Poppy Page who weighed a healthy 3.4 kg. They affectionately call her Zarzi… I mean seriously, how adorable is that!

Their newborn session was incredible. We also welcomed their fur-babies, Vegas and Darla. I was up for the challenge – “Never work with children or animals” as they say. The session could not have gone more perfectly and it was overwhelmed with love and cuteness. What an awesome family.

Thank you Amy and Anthony for introducing me to your Little Cherub, Azaria. What a pleasure to create such artistic and unique precious keepsakes for you to treasure.

” Selecting a newborn photographer for my first baby was an easy decision for me. As a professional photographer myself I knew the industry in Darwin. I knew the amazing, the ok and the risky. The saying “you get what you pay for” is spot on! Knowing Susan personally, having seen her at work with babies previously and adoring every single image I’ve seen of hers. Little Cherub Photography was the right choice for me.

As soon as it was out that I was pregnant I called Susan to book in our baby. Susan asked if I would like to do a maternity shoot. Being the body conscious type and only visualising my body growing as if I was giving birth to 10, I was reluctant to agree at first. As the months past I realised this was the most amazing experience and if I was to ever do it, I should do it now. Together we came up with a concept that was “me”. Susan has a gift for reading her clients and paying close attention to their style and personalities. I couldn’t have felt more comfortable with Susan and be more happy with the images. I even ended up nude… she’s that good! And before you cheeky buggers run off… I’m sorry, the nudies didn’t make it onto Facebook!

Why didn’t I just take my own photos of Azaria? Newborn photography is like a freak level in the photography industry. Not only with the camera but with babies. Susan is a baby whisper! I wish I could wrap her up and keep her at my place! From knowing when to photograph your baby, safely molding them into a cute position, the temperature of her studio and of course SETTLING! Just magical! I don’t even need to touch on her creativity, her images speak for themselves.

Susan is so good at what she does.The shoot itself was so nice and relaxed. I sat on the couch and watched as she worked her magic with my newborn. Susan was so gentle and patient, and allowed time for breastfeeding when needed. She was also fantastic with my toddler who joined us at the end.She was very flexible and understanding when I had to reschedule the shoot due to an early arrival. And was so patient with me while I chose the photos, which was very difficult since they were all amazing!I am so happy with the photos we received. I highly recommend Little Cherub Photography

We had a photo shoot for my 6 month old baby recently with Susan. She was lovely and friendly person that made us feel comfortable. She took her time to take the right photos and put me totally at ease when baby was fussy. She provided the photos quickly, and helped us select the best of them. They are amazing photos that we will treasure for a lifetime. I highly recommend her.

We had newborn photos taken with Susan, she was fantastic to work with, babies are unpredictable but she worked her magic settling our little one and working patiently to get some great shots. Susan captured my now 2 year old as a newborn so perfectly, so I couldn’t wait to see her again for baby number 2. Once again, the baby whisperer worked her magic on my baby, who was not making it easy on her. I sat there in awe and with perfect trust in her as she shhh’d, rocked and wrapped up my baby in beautiful colours and poses. The photos couldn’t be any more perfect! Little Cherub Photography is FANTASTIC! Susan was so great. When my family and I arrived with my little one, she was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Unfortunately my baby was being very fussy that day but her ability to settle her and still capture incredible photos was such a display of her professionalism and how experienced she was with babies and her craft. I received my photos 2 weeks later and I am beyond words with how incredible they are. No one in my family are models but she took charge of us and we got absolutely beautiful photos that we will cherish forever! Thank you Susan!

I cannot speak highly enough of Susan at Little Cherub Photography!Throughout the whole process she was incredibly accomodating of our needs including changing dates & the nature of the shoot.The day was fantastic… even with a determined little human who wanted to be in charge Susan took it all in her stride. She was so lovely in encouraging me to take photos with my daughter (something I hadn’t planned on doing) I’m so glad I did! Susan has captured both of our sons, and us a family a number of times over the past 4 years. Susan has meticulous attention to detail, and is a newborn whisperer so you’re guaranteed to get those sleepy newborn shots! She has taken photos of our oldest son as a newborn, at 3, 6, 9 & 12 months old and now again as a 4 year old and has been able to engage with him and capture him so naturally every time.
